The diamond in the Eastern Algarve!

Santa Luzia is an adorable little fishing village less than 10 minutes west of Tavira, which has the reputation of preparing and serving the world’s best octopus. Santa Luzia is Portugal’s largest octopus fishing port. Stroll along the quayside and boardwalk, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, see – or why not participate in the bowling matches in the small park, and view the fishing boats with all their gear in the small harbor.
Santa Luzia is, in short, a coming destination to which the major tourist streams have not yet reached.

In Santa Luzia you live close to the local grocery store, fish shop, baker and butcher in the village. There is also a take-away restaurant for the removal of delicious grilled chicken -frango, Portugal’s ‘other national dish’. It is a five minute walk from the accommodation to the fine promenade which was completely renovated in the spring of 2016, and around the corner there is also proximity to all the cozy restaurants, cafes and bars.

Here you live in new, modern apartments fully equipped for self-catering, with full kitchen, large living room, Wi-Fi and international TV channels. The apartments have 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, alternatively 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Pool is available on site and garage under the building.

Don’t miss the spectacular sandy beach of Praia do Barril. Only a 5 minute drive from the accommodation, the small tufftuff train goes all the way to the beach where in addition to bathing and salt splashing can also enjoy a good lunch at one of the small restaurants. The eastern part of the beach – with mile-long walks in the water’s edge – can also be reached by boat starting from Santa Luzia’s promenade.
